Choosing a pouf or ottoman for your room
An ottoman can complete a seating area, but the right choice depends on how you intend to use it. Check the product’s intended use before treating it as a seat, footrest or table.
Choose the role first
For a footrest, compare its height with your sofa. For occasional seating, confirm the model is designed to support that use. Do not assume storage, a removable cover or a load rating unless the product specifies it.
Check how it fits
Mark the footprint beside the sofa and in the place where you will store it when unused. Leave the normal walking route clear. If you plan to move it often, ask about its weight and handling.
Coordinate the fabric
Repeat the sofa fabric for a coordinated look or choose a contrasting texture after comparing samples. Read the care instructions for the selected material. A pouf and a loose-fill beanbag are different products and should not share unsupported claims.
