Measuring Doors and Lifts for Sofa Delivery
Before you order, measure the narrowest point on the way to the room: the building entrance, the lift inside and its door, any turn on the stairs, the corridor and the room door. A sofa passes when its depth or height, usually 90 cm and 72 cm on our sofas, is less than the clear opening. Large corner sofas arrive in sections and our team assembles them in your room, free of charge; tell us about any narrow access when you order.
What to measure

How to measure a door correctly
- Open the door fully and measure from the door leaf to the frame, not the frame to frame.
- Measure the height from the floor to the top of the frame.
- Note anything that sticks out: handles, light switches, a radiator or an air-conditioning unit.
- Measure the diagonal of the doorway as well; a piece can often pass tilted.

Lifts and stairs: the usual problems
- A short lift. A 3-seat sofa may need to stand on its end; measure the inside height and the diagonal.
- A tight turn on the stairs. Measure the width at the landing and the ceiling height above it.
- A villa with an internal staircase. Check the turn at the top as well as the bottom.
- A building lift booking. Some buildings need the lift reserved for deliveries; ask the building and tell us the time window.
What free delivery and installation include
Sofas, corner sofas, tables, ottomans and other furniture are delivered across Saudi Arabia with installation included. Bedroom and dining sets are delivered free from SAR 6,000 and SAR 3,000 respectively, otherwise SAR 300, and every complete set is above the threshold. Our team carries the furniture in, assembles it in your room and checks it with you. The full rules are on delivery and installation.
When it arrives
Ready-to-ship designs are usually delivered in 1–7 business days. Made-to-order designs are delivered in up to 15 business days, and we confirm the delivery window for your city in writing before production. Ready and made-to-order pieces in one order may arrive on different days; we agree each appointment with you.
Prepare the room
- Clear the floor where the furniture goes and the way to it.
- Protect a delicate floor or ask us before the appointment.
- Make sure parking is possible near the entrance for the delivery team.
- Be at home, or ask someone to be there, to check the pieces before the team leaves.
If the measurements are tight
Send us your measurements and a few photos of the entrance, the lift and the stairs on WhatsApp before you order. Our team can check them against the pieces and suggest a size, a layout in more sections, or the ready-to-ship option that fits. We reply within 24 hours.
A simple test before you order
Cut a piece of cardboard, or mark a rectangle with tape, to the depth and height of the sofa, about 90 × 72 cm for most of ours, and carry it along the way in from the entrance. If it passes every door, turn and the lift without forcing, the sofa will too. For a long piece, check the turn in the corridor with a broom handle held at the sofa's width.
The numbers to send us
- Building entrance: clear width and height.
- Lift: door width and height, inside width, depth and height.
- Stairs: width, and the ceiling height at each landing.
- Corridor: width, and the width of any corner you turn.
- Room door: clear width with the door open, and height.
- The wall where the furniture will stand: its length, from obstacle to obstacle.
Villas, apartments and towers
- Villas: the internal staircase is usually the narrow point, especially at the landing turn; a first-floor majlis may be easier through a wider external door.
- Apartments: the lift decides the longest piece, so its inside diagonal matters more than the door width.
- Towers: a service lift is usually larger, but it often needs booking; ask the management for the delivery hours.
After installation: a quick check
- Count the pieces against your order confirmation.
- Check that the sofa stands level and the cushions sit evenly.
- For a corner sofa, check that the corner side matches the layout you chose.
- If anything does not match, send your order reference and clear photos to our team, so we can assess it and agree a correction.

What if the sofa does not fit in the lift?
Tell us the lift size before you order. Corner sofas arrive in sections; for other pieces our team checks the access with you before production.
Is installation included?
Yes. Installation is included with delivery, and our team assembles the furniture in your room.
